Homemade Honey and Milk face mask for winter season

Hello, Honey! Happy Saturday.

Winter is here and so is flaky, patchy, ridiculous dry skin. SIGH! I am lucky to be born with super dry skin!!! Let me tell you how I use honey to keep the dryness at bay. A very simple honey mask recipe is served for you.

When I feel super lazy (like most of the time) I just go slather on honey after I cleanse my face with lukewarm water. Surely, you can just slather honey itself on your face but adding just the exact sidekick will give you the extra boost you need in this cold winter.

Raw honey has endless benefits to health, skin, and hair. It has a lavish amount of nutrients, antioxidants, enzymes, and vitamins. Most importantly, it is an amazing hydrating agent as it is a humectant. The humectants have the ability to attract and retain moisture.

I love using milk with honey. Especially, raw milk is a great natural moisturizer which is known to be super hydrating. My Mum always tells me to use this combination for my dry skin.

I know there are hundreds of homemade masks that are suitable for dry skin, for instance, avocado face mask. However, I tend to go back to honey whenever I feel my skin is getting flaky. Now, regrettably I am a lazy girl, as a result, I do not use this face mask every day but whenever I continue to do so for few days I’ve observed a betterment in the smoothness and softness of my skin. Like seriously!

Here is how to use honey and raw milk face mask-

  • First and foremost, clean your face with a cleanser
  • Afterward. add 5-7 teaspoon raw milk with 3 teaspoons raw honey. Mix well to have a smooth mixture.
  • Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture to your face.
  • Wait for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

This will make your skin soft moisturised and of course radiant. If you are suffering from an awful dry skin condition, try using the mask twice a day. After you see the improvement in your skin, you can use it twice a week. But as for me, I try to use it twice a day if not possible then just once every day. By the way, you should first check if you are allergic to any of the ingredients because you certainly can’t use them if you are allergic, can you?

Tell me what kind of facial mask you are using this winter. In my opinion, any kind of honey mask will help dry skin.

Take care and stay warm

Love

Samia
